Daycare
A day of daycare at Dog Country Day School includes unlimited play all day. Dogs have constant access to our 8000 square feet of outdoor play space. Our staff is the most loving, attentive and interactive in the business. Your dog will receive unlimited attention. When your dogs gets home for the day they will have played until they’re tired, be happy and ready to snuggle up with you.

ONE DAY OF DAYCARE IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO MAKING A BOARDING RESERVATION
Includes a FREE day of daycare on day of drop off day. Your dog MUST be dropped off by 2 PM at the latest. We need to be sure your pup gets plenty of playtime to assure they are nice and rested for their night’s sleep. We also offer FREE daycare if picked up by 10 am the next day. Any pick up after 10 will be charged a full day of daycare.
Please bring all food in an airtight container, no opened bags or open grocery store bags tied in a knot. Please only bring what your dog will need for his/her stay. We have limited storage space so the smaller the container the better to fit the necessary food.
If your dog needs meds they must be in the prescription bottle given by the veterinarian. We are not allowed to dispense medication that isn’t marked by the prescribing vet.
Feel free to bring any bed, toys ect. That will make your dog feel as comfortable as possible while asleep in their room. We also have house bedding so if you forget, do not worry. Your pup will be comfy.
We offer a peanut butter filled kong for $10/night.
Holiday Boarding
Boarding is busy during the holidays. We respectfully request 7 days notice if you plan to cancel a reservation. We will charge half the total stay for no shows or late cancellations. On major holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas), we close for daycare. We are open between 4-7 on holidays for boarding pick ups.
Your Dog’s Stay
What To Bring:
- Food packaged in an airtight, tupperware container (no plastic grocery bags, please)
- Our storage space is limited, so instead of bringing your dogs entire bag of food, condensing it neatly is appreciated
- Pills must be in the prescription bottle, prescribed by the vet
- Emergency contact information (just to be safe)
What NOT To Bring:
- Please do not bring food bowls, we have plenty!
- Please only bring your dogs favorite 1 or 2 toys. They will be kept in your dog’s room throughout their stay.
- Food scoops / measuring cups
Spa Services
We provide baths, brushing, nail trims and ear cleaning. You’ll enjoy the satisfaction of a tired yet freshly bathed, sweet smelling dog. Please let us know if you’d like to include a bath to round out the end of your dog’s stay.

Meet Our Vet:
Dr. Sherri Folkestad
Dr. Sherri Folkestad, DVM grew up on the western slope outside of Grand Junction on farm property with dogs, cats, horses, cows, and even a pond she used to swim in! She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University and graduated from veterinary school at Colorado State University in 1985. She also worked in a mixed animal practice for 5 years before changing to a strictly small animal practice in 1990.
